Stop ILLEGALLY towing your Fifth Wheel, Personal Trailers and RVs!

In many states, a Class A or B license is required to tow most larger 5th wheels, especially with one ton trucks. Many RV’s, motorhomes and personal trailers also have this requirement. If your gross combined weight rating is over 26,000 you likely need a upgraded license. I go over some of the highlights for the two states I’ve familiar with and how easy it is to get a license upgrade. So the rumor of needing a motorhome license or special license is indeed true in many states.
In North Carolina and many other states, a special Class license is required to drive large Motorhomes and 5th wheel trailers that exceed 26,000 lbs. You may not need a CDL for personal use but that doesn’t mean you don’t need a license upgrade even for RV’s. In many states, a higher class or endorsement is required which isn’t related to CDL operations. Always check your state’s laws before purchasing or upgrading RV’s. Never listen to the salesman.
